The real night sky above you

Latitude shows the real night sky above your exact location — the Moon, planets, bright stars and constellations — as a living map you can keep, share and explore. Here's how to get the most from it.

Getting started

Allow location (or pick a city) and Latitude draws the sky above you right now. Tap a star or planet to name it. Tap the Moon or a planet for a 3D view. Tap a constellation for its story.

Things to try

Tilt your phone — the sky has depth. Pinch to zoom in. Tap the camera button to identify what's above you in augmented reality. Tap the date to travel to any night — a birthday, an anniversary. Open Tonight for events, a guided tour, the Moon calendar, and Your Stars.

Your stars (astrology)

Enter your birth details to see your sign, a daily reading, and a real birth chart computed from the actual positions of the planets. You can add other people too — partners, friends, family — and check compatibility. The astrology features are for entertainment.

Common questions

Do I need an account? No. Latitude has no account and no login, and everything stays on your device.

Is my location private? Yes. It is used only on your device to compute the sky and is never uploaded. See our Privacy Policy.

Why is the sky empty, or showing a spinner? It may still be daytime where you are, or the app is resolving your location. Try after dark, or pick a city in Settings.

How accurate is it? Positions are computed with a native astronomy engine using standard orbital algorithms — accurate for naked-eye stargazing.
